Press Release
CINCINNATI, Oct. 20 -- Modology LLC. designer Keith Chrapliwy was recently selected for the hit show Bathtastic on the DIY Network. The show’s producer reached out to Chrapliwy in an effort to have him build and design a custom vanity that would be highlighted on an upcoming episode. Chrapliwy's modern design philosopy lends itself to the overall theme for the bathroom transformation, titled "Mod Makeover". Chrapliwy's trademark design of bold colorful stripes dovetailed well with the transformation. The Minneapolis-based show is one of the hottest DIY shows on this cable network and the episode is slated to air on November 2, 2010. “It’s an honor to be recognized on this show and to see a growing appreciation for my modern cabinets", said Chrapliwy.
Building things has always been second nature to Chrapliwy. His grandfather would work with him to build different projects as he grew up. As a graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati and talented graphic brand designer at Landor, he gave up his corporate job to build his own brand of furniture inspired by mid-century modern. Chrapliwy has recently moved his workshop to the up and coming Northside area. Going completely online for his sales platform, he utilizes his website, etsy, and online ebay store. "Because so many of my clients were out of town, my Oakley showroom was not being utilized to its potential and needed a larger workshop to fufill orders". Chrapliwy, was quoted for selling his Oakley bricks and mortar store.
The local designer has carved out a nitch by building unique custom storage pieces for collectors as far away as Paris and Los Angeles. Chrapliwy’s work has been prominently featured in galleries and collected by music moguls. More recently, Chrapliwy has taken his craft to the next level by specializing in modern storage design.
